Turcon® Varilip® PDR is the optimum solution for high-speed rotating applications. The rotary shaft seals are constructed from one or multiple Turcon® PTFE based sealing elements which are mechanically retained in a precision machined metal body. The metal body acts as a robust static seal against the housing, preventing thermal cycling, while the Turcon® sealing element offers effective sealing performance on the shaft, even at high rotational speeds. Its low friction characteristics enable stick-slip-free running, which reduces temperature generation, permits higher peripheral speeds and lowers power consumption. This results in enhanced productivity and a long service life, while maximizing the time between planned maintenance cycles.
