Trelleborg appoints new Sales Manager for Renewables Development

Trelleborg’s offshore operation appoints Daniel Bate as its new Global Renewables Sales Manager to build customer relationships and garner market intelligence, helping identify areas where Trelleborg can apply its expertise in the renewables market.

Daniel specializes in buoyancy and cable management products for the renewables energy sector and has over 10 years of experience working in the offshore subsea industry with Trelleborg. In his new role, Daniel will be in charge of connecting with and developing relationships with our current and potential customers located around the globe. Working together with Andrew Cunningham, the operation’s External Sales Manager for China, Korea, India and Japan, connections will be made with all the major players in the renewables market.

Daniel states: “For the past three years I worked for a coatings company, with great focus on supporting the growing number of composite wind blade factories across Europe. However, after seeing the offshore wind sector go from strength to strength, I decided to return to Trelleborg because of their dedicated focus on the renewable sector. I like how the company has transferred its cable protection knowledge from the oil and gas market to develop new products for the growing renewables market.”
