Increasing demand for thermoplastic composite solutions has led to the development of a laser processing technique that increases throughput at a competitive cost. Development of this process continues and is yielding bonding results that are equivalent to those achieved with a Hot Gas Torch (HGT), but at significantly faster speeds. Future improvements should see processing speeds and corresponding bond strengths continue to improve.
