Divestment of vehicle component plant in UK completed

Trelleborg’s divestment of its operations in Coventry, in the UK, which is included in Trelleborg Automotive UK, has now been completed. The business is being taken over by the company’s management.

As announced earlier, the divestment is part of Trelleborg’s strategic and operational action program within the Trelleborg Automotive business area. The operations in Coventry are part of the antivibration business and manufacture airsprings. The business has about 110 employees, had sales of SEK 150 M in 2006 and recorded a loss.

For Trelleborg, the divestment is expected to lead to a book capital loss of about SEK 90 M before tax. It is anticipated that the divestment will generate a positive cash flow of approximately SEK 15 M.
