Focusing and concentration of operations continues within Trelleborg Engineered Systems Trelleborg sells molded goods production for household appliances The Trelleborg Group's Engineered Systems business area is continuing to streamline its product portfolio and has signed an agreement to sell its molded goods production operations in Skelton, England, which is part of Trelleborg Industries UK Ltd. This operation, which had sales of about GBP 3.1 M in 2001, with approximately 60 employees, produces molded goods for primarily the British household appliances industry. The purchaser is an English subsidiary of Industrie Ilpea S.p.A., a wordwide Industrial Group with headquarter in Malgesso - Varese - Italy. Trelleborg's earnings have been adversely affected by the operations of the molded goods unit in Skelton for the past few years.
