Trelleborg expands within sealing profiles Trelleborg has acquired German sealing profiles producer DiPro Dichtungssysteme GmbH from Brügmann Frisoplast GmbH. DiPro has annual sales of approximately DEM 28 M and is based in Papenburg. The company develops, produces and markets primarily extruded sealing profiles for the domestic building industry. Exports to surrounding markets account for about 30 percent of sales. The acquisition means that Trelleborg broadens its product base with TPE-based products and further strengthens its leading position within the German industrial profiles market. Synergistic effects will be created in the form of an expanded distribution network and shared development costs. DiPro will become part of Trelleborg Building Systems, which following this acquisition has annual sales of around SEK 1.5 billion. Trelleborg Building Systems is Europe's leading producer of sealing profiles for the industrial and consumer markets.
