Leif Öberg leaves Trelleborg AB;
Mikael Byström new head of corporate communications

Leif Öberg, Senior Vice President-Corporate Communications, at Trelleborg for
many years, has decided to leave the company to start his own consulting
business in the recruitment, communications and investor relations areas.

The deputy head of Corporate Communications at Trelleborg, Mikael Byström, has
been appointed to replace Leif Öberg as Senior Vice President-Corporate
Communications.

"I have been tempted to broaden my interests, for example by helping other
listed companies with communications activities and investor relations
contacts, for a number of years," says Leif Öberg. "In my new company, I have
already secured a number of concrete assignments from Swedish listed
companies. I also intend to work with personnel recruitment in those areas in
which I specialize."

"The change in positions will become formally effective as of today,"
continues Öberg. "But I will continue to assist Trelleborg in my own areas in
future, and will do everything possible to support Mikael Byström, who I know
will rise to this challenge in a brilliant manner. After all, he has been
trained in the best possible school..."
