Kjell Nilsson has resigned as president of Trelleborg AB

Kjell Nilsson, has resigned as president and CEO of Trelleborg AB, a post he
has held since 1990.

Kjell Nilsson joined Trelleborg after a successful term as president of
Boliden AB. His work at Trelleborg has included the implementation of a major
restructuring program, which included the important step, announced as
recently as yesterday, of plans to spin off Trelleborgís current holding in
Boliden Ltd (approximately 43%) to Trelleborgís shareholders.

With regard to the innuendos and allegations that have appeared in the media
recently, the Board confirms that, following a verbal review of events with
Kjell Nilsson, it has found nothing to indicate that any irregularities have
occurred.

However, given the background of Trelleborg ABís present situation, the Board
has unanimously agreed to make a change in the position of president.
Executive Vice President Hans Porat will assume the post of company president
until further notice.
