Emilie has three passions in life: Asian culture, Asian food, and exploring new countries with her family. In 2011, even the Fukushima tragedy could not stop her from exploring Japan. Nor has motherhood slowed her down: recently, Emilie backpacked throughout Asia for seven months with her two children (1.5 years & 4.5 years old). An adventurous traveler, she has also lived for a year in Bolivia with her husband, where she worked as a volunteer, cooking and looking after children whose parents were in jail.
