In our latest Q&A, we spoke with Mirela Hambiralovic, Vice President of Group Finance at Trelleborg Group, about her inspiring career.
Mirela shared how she began as a Group Finance Controller and advanced to her current role, thanks to the company’s support, challenges, and growth opportunities. She highlighted Trelleborg’s dynamic environment, where no two days are alike, and its strong focus on care and internal development.

Share your career path at Trelleborg and how the company supported your growth.
I started my career twelve years ago as a Group Finance Controller, managing the consolidation and reporting for two of our business areas: Trelleborg Sealing Solutions and Trelleborg Coated Systems. In this role, I built a large network of contacts with people from different parts of the Group. After a few years, I had the opportunity to step into a new role where my responsibilities covered the entire Group's consolidated figures, including the financial statements and accounting for structural changes such as acquisitions, divestments, and mergers. After an additional couple of years, I had the pleasure of stepping up as VP for Group Finance, leading an excellent team of seven people.

Throughout my career at Trelleborg, I have always felt appreciated and valued. With supportive managers who actively listen to my aspirations and wishes, I have consistently had the opportunity to grow through interesting tasks, new situations, and opportunities, as well as positive challenges from my managers and peers.

What aspects do you think make Trelleborg an attractive employer? 
Trelleborg, in my opinion, is a terrific place to work. We are not a small company where things are comfortable and repetitive. There is always something new going on, whether it's an M&A case, new legislation, or, as now, the implementation of a new Group Consolidation System.
