Trelleborg Wins Award

Trelleborg’s engineered coated fabrics operation won the first Charlie Lachenbruch Award for Innovation at the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) Conference that took place in Houston, Texas from 27 to 28 February 2020.

The award was given to the best industry poster at the conference, and the Trelleborg entry focused on laboratory research conducted into breathable base mattress tickings.

Presented by Barbara Delmore and Ann Tescher on behalf of NPIAP, the award was collected by Global Marketing Manager, Katie Pearce.

Technical Director Richard Haxby says; “This is a very special award for us as we worked with Charlie in his capacity on the Support Surface Standards Initiative (S3I) Committee and as a customer. It was a huge loss to the industry when he passed away in 2018, and we are delighted to accept this award in his memory.”
