The program enriches the students by offering an international learning experience to prepare them for the future. It is a great way to showcase what we are doing at Trelleborg and the endless opportunities within our fantastic company. The program has shown that opening doors to international collaboration creates curiosity and inspires young adults to work in a multicultural, global context."

Christian Modirzadeh, a student at Isothermal Community College, says: "Having the opportunity to learn from and talk with professionals in my field gave me a new outlook on my career. This experience provided me with the opportunity to meet other members of the manufacturing world. It showed me that, while we may speak different languages, the language of manufacturing and business is the same, regardless of the country. I appreciated being able to gain new industry experiences and connections."

Trelleborg has collaborated with ICC for over twenty years, with its business unit Trelleborg Engineered Coated Fabrics joining the international student exchange program in 2020 to support the development of future workers within the local community. In 2019, Trelleborg pledged a substantial ten-year donation to sponsor the ICC's robotics and PLC automation laboratory, and student lounge, in the Applied Sciences and Workforce Development Center, which includes an innovation incubation space for new and existing local businesses.

Jenny Nichols, Marketing Manager at Trelleborg Engineered Coated Fabrics, says: "Globally, Trelleborg prioritizes supporting the communities where we are located by participating in various social activities and providing dedicated support for youth development. It is a privilege for Trelleborg to partner with Isothermal Community College to help prepare students and workers for the technical challenges of tomorrow. We look forward to working with the ICC team on many more projects and opportunities in the future."
