The Water Separation System is best described as a Solids Separation System.
The Water Separation System recycles the water in a closed loop rather than requiring a continuous supply of fresh water. The System provides water free of particulates. Typically, water from the system has a light milky white appearance. This water is suitable for coring and grinding machines.
The Water Separation System greatly reduces the need to clean the collection pit. Actual cleaning requirements depend on the specific pit geometry.
How it works
Water concrete slurry is pumped from a collection pit to a large cone-shaped settling tank.
Slurry is removed periodically from the bottom of the tank.
Clean water is drawn from the top of the tank and held in a holding tank.
A sump pump provides water to the coring machine.
The separation system can provide water to two machines with the addition of a second holding tank and pump.
Advantages of Water Separation
Provides for environmentally friendly water re-use practice
Greatly reduces “pit” cleaning
Saves on water cost
Design Features
Durable heavy steel construction
Large water pathways, no nozzles to clog
Uses standard off the shelf pumps that pass solids – no expensive grinding blades to replace
Can be expanded for multiple machines
Can be used with most existing sump and pit systems
