SuperSealer Cinthia López

With a background that combines logistics expertise and cross-cultural teamwork, this month’s SuperSealer brings drive, adaptability and a strong sense of purpose to her role. After rejoining the company almost a year ago, she stepped into a fast-paced environment full of opportunity and hasn’t looked back. She also knows how to stay grounded: with tacos, good local wine and a deep appreciation for the everyday moments that bring people together.
Who are you?
Hi, my name is Cinthia López. I work as Materials Manager at Trelleborg Pipe Seals in Tijuana, Mexico.
How long have you worked in this position, and what are your key duties?
I’ve been in this role for almost a year. My main responsibilities include customer distribution, sourcing, inventory management and planning.
How long have you been with Trelleborg, and what do you like about working here?
I first joined Trelleborg a few years ago, when the company started its operations here in Tijuana, Mexico.
I rejoined the company in a new role last year. I really enjoy working with my team and being part of such a dynamic environment. One of the highlights is the interaction I have with colleagues from different countries across our global business. I find there’s always something new to learn!
What are the key challenges you face in your job?
Returning to this plant with a young team and so many opportunities for improvement has been a real challenge, but it’s been an exciting one. While much of the work was familiar to me, the pressure of introducing change in such a short space of time has made the experience intense and rewarding. One thing’s for sure, there hasn’t been a dull moment!
How do you think the business in your area will evolve in the future?
Logistics is a fast-moving field and staying ahead means adapting to new technologies and trends. I see AI playing a bigger role in optimizing processes and increasing efficiency. For me, this means continuing to look for smart, innovative ways to improve the way we work.
What do you do in your free time?
I love spending time with friends and exploring the local food scene. Tijuana’s food culture is amazing, especially the tacos! I also enjoy being in nature, whether relaxing at the beach or visiting the beautiful Guadalupe Valley, which is known for its good wine.
