February's SuperSealer is a customer service specialist based in beautiful Slovenia in Central Europe. A Trelleborg veteran of two decades, she tells us about her role and what keeps her motivated after all these years. She also explains why staying flexible is so important in a changing industry landscape and how she unwinds away from the pressures of work.

Who are you? 

My name is Lili Jurkič, and I’m a Customer Service Specialist working at Trelleborg in Slovenia.

How long have you worked in this position and what are your key duties?

I’ve been in my current role for a few years now. My core responsibilities include all aspects of sales, as well as overseeing development projects and liaising with affiliated companies. My role also means that I'm in daily contact with most of Trelleborg's departments, including the planning, development, procurement, and finance teams.

How long have you been with Trelleborg in total and what do you like about working here?

It's hard to believe, but I've been with the company for 22 years! Trelleborg is a true leader in its field, and it's given me a unique opportunity to develop my skills and knowledge. As the company has grown, it's been the perfect place to build a successful career and become known as a reliable and knowledgeable resource in the industry.

My role is also very dynamic and offers a lot of variety. It's allowed me to keep my motivation high all these years!

What are the key challenges you face in your job?

Because it's such a varied role, one of my biggest challenges is managing my time effectively across multiple tasks and juggling tight deadlines with longer-term projects.

Finding effective ways to communicate is another key challenge. As mentioned earlier, I work with many different stakeholders across the company, which means I need to be able to communicate well with these diverse teams. At the same time, I'm working in an industry that's constantly changing, so I need to be able to adapt to evolving trends and technologies.

How do you think the business in your area is going to evolve in the future? How are you preparing for this?

The sales landscape for rubber products will continue to evolve due to technological advances, market demands, and new environmental objectives. It's important for Trelleborg to keep moving forward in this changing market environment – this means focusing on innovation, sustainability, and adaptability.

At the same time, changing customer needs and expectations and the growing demand for more sustainable solutions will bring new challenges, but also opportunities to develop new products and marketing approaches. At Trelleborg, we have a strong team that can adapt to these changes and manage new complexities.

What do you do in your free time?

I love spending time in nature. Slovenia is a small country, but we're blessed with beautiful mountains and incredible landscapes. My favorite sports are hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. I also love to travel. Italy, Croatia, Austria – I'm lucky to have these amazing destinations right on my doorstep!
