Trelleborg Group's acquisition of Invensys' antivibration operations completed

Trelleborg Group's acquisition of Invensys' antivibration operations completed On December 23, 1999, the Trelleborg Group reached an agreement with Invensys to acquire the UK company's antivibration operations. The transaction was conditional upon the approval of the competition authorities concerned. Approvals have now been received for the acquisition of all the operating units concerned, with the exception of the units in Brazil and India, which combined account for less than 10 percent of total sales. With the exception of the units in Brazil and India, for which approvals are expected to be obtained, the transaction will now be concluded according to plan, beginning on March 1, 2000. The acquired operations have annual sales of approximately SEK 4.2 billion and slightly more than 4,000 employees at 17 production units in seven countries. The acquisition positions Trelleborg as the world's leading supplier of antivibration products and systems for the automotive industry and other advanced industrial applications. Following this acquisition, the Trelleborg Automotive business area will have annual sales of approximately SEK 6.6 billion.
