At Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure, we're raising the bar for environmental responsibility in the marine, port, and infrastructure sectors. As part of our broader sustainability journey, we're proud to introduce our Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) initiative—a comprehensive program that delivers transparent, verified environmental data across our polymer-based product portfolio.

What is an Environmental Product Declaration?
An EPD provides independently verified information about a product's environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle, helping you make informed decisions based on reliable, comprehensive data. Our EPDs are based on rigorous Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) that evaluate environmental impacts across the entire product lifecycle.
Our EPDs provide:
- Third-party verified environmental impact assessments
- Full lifecycle analysis from raw material extraction to end-of-life
- Transparent material composition disclosure
- Comprehensive carbon footprint data
- Resource usage and ecosystem impact information
This EPD initiative aligns with Trelleborg's wider sustainability strategy, which focuses on:
- Reducing emissions across our operations and products
- Protecting the essential by developing solutions that safeguard people, infrastructure, and the environment
- Sourcing materials responsibly throughout our supply chain

Gina Gasket EPD
Our Gina Gaskets with verified EPDs for three popular variants (Shore 40A, 50A, and 60A) have been supplied to landmark infrastructure projects like the Fehmarnbelt tunnel between Denmark and Germany, the world's longest immersed tunnel. This demonstrates how our commitment to environmental transparency integrates with delivering proven performance in critical infrastructure projects.
