Smart Ports Russia 2021

The world of the maritime industry is a vital part of the engine driving the global economy. The inevitable growth of world cargo turnover as well as the increase in vessel size, calls for an urgent need to upgrade and update current port infrastructure with new technologies, mitigating the risk of losing their market shares to more technologically advanced competitors.

At this conference, Managing Director of Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure (Denmark) Tommy Mikkelsen, will be discussing the latest technological development and smart solutions that connect port operations from port approach, berthing, docking and mooring and departure to achieve sustainable operational efficiencies.

Delegates will also learn about SmartPort, which powers the critical interface between ship and port, on land and at sea. Tommy will present examples of Trelleborg’s smart systems in action, showcasing how SmartPort connects port operations, allowing operators to analyze performance and use data to improve decision making. The system integrates assets like fenders, mooring equipment, ship performance monitoring, and navigation systems, underpinned by cloud technologies.
