Seatrade Maritime 2023

For over 20 years, Seatrade Maritime has brought together leading maritime professionals from across the Middle East for three days of conference, networking, and a comprehensive exhibition. And now, for the first time, maritime logistics are set to play a central role in the event, which sits at the heart of UAE Maritime Week.

Trelleborg will showcase its TSX5 Shaft Power Meter and EDIT Automation's ECO8 ShaPoLi system at the event. These solutions were developed together to meet the new EEXI regulations introduced by the IMO this year to reduce CO2 emissions from ships. The Trelleborg ShaPoLi method involves measuring shaft power, torque, and speed using the TSX5 shaft power meter. The readings can then be viewed on the ECO8 ShaPoLi display mounted on the bridge. If the power limit set by EEXI regulations is surpassed, visual and audible alarms will be generated to notify the Captain or Officer of Watch, prompting them to manually decrease the speed and power of the vessel.
