The additional feature, an aspirator, allows the two boots of the steering system to be connected with each other outside of the rack. The aspirator is welded thanks to an innovative process on a non-functional area of the boot, allowing the boot to keep a normal behavior when the steering is cycled on the vehicle. Having the two boots of the steering system connected with each other will help distributing the air and the internal pressure between both sides. The tube guides the air going from one boot to the other and replaces the hollow found inside other types of HPS’ rack.
This boot with aspirator can be manufactured with standard or anti-snaking design.
