R&D IT System Support Trelleborg Seals & Profiles
What do you do in your role on an average day at work?
For two years now, I’ve worked as R&D IT System Support in the Development Organization of Seals & Profiles EMEA and am located in Großheubach, Germany. In my role, I am involved in several projects and applications, like QlikView, SharePoint and ERP, also working in projects like Dynamics CRM and ERP developments and implementations. Due to these varied projects, I sometimes feel a bit like a “spider in the net” working with different organizations, supporting them in solving application-related issues and overcoming obstacles. Although my current role was created just two years ago, it has soon evolved to become a very well recognized position throughout our organization, and I can support and interact with many people.

What do you like the most about working at Trelleborg?
Working at Trelleborg feels for me like being part of a big family where colleagues also become friends. We have a great focus in our organization in developing people and giving them the opportunity to grow, both professionally and personally. I started with Trelleborg in 2001 as a Product Designer and got the chance to develop myself, moving into a more IT-related position gaining the knowledge and skills that I need to complete my work. My job also gives me the opportunity to work closely with colleagues from all over the world, meeting people from different cultures and benefiting from the diversity that we enjoy within Trelleborg. I am really proud to work for a company like Trelleborg where I love what I do, and I am looking forward to new challenges in the coming years.

Give an example of a great memory, or moment, you have had at Trelleborg?
As you can imagine, there are many great memories when you work for a company for more than 20 years, but a very special one was the business trip when our project team travelled to our site in Aurora, Ohio. For a global project like this, it was very beneficial to see the site and their specific needs, and especially meeting everyone in person, sharing our experiences. I could also enlarge my social network which supports me a great deal in my work. During the weekend, some colleagues and I went to Niagara Falls. That was an amazing experience. This trip in general was very special for me as my relatives came from US, but I had never been there before.
