Waste becomes energy

In meeting our “50 by 25“ target, nothing goes to waste at Trelleborg’s manufacturing facility in Rotherham, England.
By using an Energy Recovery Facility, the manufacturing site, takes waste that cannot be recycled and turns it into fuel. This prevented the release of 84 tons of CO2 during its first year of use. To remove the same amount of CO2 from the environment would require planting of 290 trees or the removal of 31 cars from the highway!
This initiative contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular 7 Affordable and Clean Energy and 11 Sustainability Cities and Communities.
