Trelleborg improves: up to 2nd rank in Sustainable Companies 2020

Trelleborg moves upward and reaches 2nd place in its category “Capital goods” in the third year of the sustainability ranking “Hållbara Bolag 2020” (“Sustainable companies”) for Swedish companies, arranged by daily Dagens Industri and magazine Aktuell Hållbarhet.

This year, only AB Volvo are ahead of Trelleborg in the category. Trelleborg shares 2nd place with SKF.

In 2019, Trelleborg was behind Skanska and Atlas Copco in 3d place. And the year before, Trelleborg was in 3rd place together with ABB, behind Skanska and SKF.

Background: The Hållbara Bolag ranking includes OMX Nasdaq listed companies that belong to GICS industry groups Capital goods, Consumer goods, Consumables, Banks, Investment companies, as well as Materials. 

The ranking is based on several different sections. In addition to open information from corporate reports and websites, companies have responded to a survey about their work within areas Strategy & UN Sustainability Development Goals, environment, climate, human rights, anti-corruption and employee issues. The ranking has been carried out by the School of Economics at Lund University together with an advisory board.
