The archeological excavation of the well-known church started in January 1993 and in 1994, the symbolic first stone of the rebuild was placed on the ground. Finally, in 2005 the Frauenkirche once again is a landmark in Dresden, Germany.
The contribution from Trelleborg was a combined silicone and rubber sealing with a highly efficient elasticity. Already at a compression of 0,5 millimeters / 0,02 inches the seal is making the construction fully watertight, not giving away even when pressured down 3 millimeters / 0,12 inches.
