Boldan In-House Lining System® Receives SINTEF Technical Approval – A Milestone for In-House Pipe Renovation

Trelleborg is proud to announce that the Boldan In-House Lining System® has received Technical Approval TG 20724 from SINTEF, one of Europe’s leading independent research organizations. This certification confirms that the system complies with Norwegian building regulations (TEK) and that its performance characteristics have been officially verified.

The Boldan In-House Lining System® is a Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) solution designed specifically for the renovation of indoor sewerage and storm water pipelines. It is suitable for concrete, cast iron, stainless steel, clay, copper and plastic pipes. The system includes:

• Comprehensive guidelines for installation and reporting
• Pipeline cleaning and inspection
• A comprehensive, proactive rehabilitation of the sewer network/repair of damaged sections
• Installation of polyester liners impregnated with two-component epoxy resin
• Installation of the Connection Liners to ensure leak-proof lateral joints
• Rehabilitation of floor drains or installation of drain inserts
• Solutions for high-temperature and chemical-resistant pipelines
• Final inspection and documentation

This method creates a new pipe within the old pipe, significantly extending the service life of aging infrastructure. It is a minimally invasive solution that has already been used to renovate over 100,000 apartments across the Nordics, Europe and the United States over the past decade.
