EirMed, LLC (“Trelleborg/EirMed”) provides this notice of a data security event that may have involved the personal information of certain individuals.
On March 25, 2023, Trelleborg/EirMed became aware of an incident involving unauthorized access to certain Trelleborg/EirMed’s systems. Upon this discovery, Trelleborg/EirMed promptly contained the incident, secured the affected systems, and engaged a forensic cybersecurity firm to investigate the incident’s nature and scope. The investigation determined that an unauthorized access to systems resulted in acquisition of a limited number of files, which data included certain individuals’ personally identifiable information (“PII”) and Protected Health Information (“PHI”) including: individuals’ names (first, middle, and last name); mailing address; date of birth; social security number; financial account information; driver’s license numbers; and health-related information.
In the aftermath of the incident, Trelleborg/EirMed continues to work diligently with its third-party cybersecurity consultants to further fortify its systems by expanding its technical safeguards. For those individuals whose information may have been involved, Trelleborg/EirMed is providing expanded LifeLock memberships, with credit/identity monitoring services and fully managed identity theft recovery services.
Trelleborg/EirMed has mailed letters to potentially affected individuals. Individuals seeking additional information or to determine whether their information was involved can call Trelleborg/EirMed’s main contact line at 715-235-1464, Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 5 PM CST.
