Trelleborg Group welcomes newly arrived academics to the city of Trelleborg, Sweden

Mohammed Alhaj Rabah First internship period has begun.

The School of Economics and Management at Lund University, Sweden, and the Executive Foundation Lund (EFL), together with more than ten companies in the south of Sweden, have developed a project for internships for newcomers. One of these companies is Trelleborg.

The project involves newly arrived people with higher education in economics or similar. They are offered a sixteen week long internship at a company or organization in the south of Sweden. The internship is supplemented with evening classes in Swedish economy.

Patrik Romberg, Senior Vice President Communications at Trelleborg, says: “We are very pleased to welcome our first trainee, Mohammed Alhaj Rabah, originally from Syria, who has a bachelor degree in Business/Economics with Accounting. We are committed to receive a total of three trainees during one year. It will be both exciting and rewarding to pursue this project. For us, this is an important part of our social commitment, while strengthening Trelleborg.”

“I’m very grateful for being given this opportunity in the headquarters of a big company, which is a new experience for me,” says Mohammed. The project work he will be doing is process mapping of Trelleborg’s reporting of sustainability data.
