Trelleborg Showcases Composite Materials at Oceanology International

Trelleborg’s applied technologies operation is set to showcase composite materials at Oceanology International in London March 13-15 on stand P100. Solutions on display will include Eccofloat® and tooling board. 

To meet customer requirements for deep-sea buoyancy applications, the company manufactures various grades of syntactic foams, called Eccofloat®. While at the show, attendees will be able to have a firsthand look at the entire range of Eccofloat® materials, which have depth ratings ranging from shallow water to full ocean depth.

High performance tooling boards are used to create durable, reusable tools, prototypes, models and patterns with a CNC machine. Trelleborg’s range of tooling boards have excellent dimensional stability and maintain tolerances even when exposed to temperature and humidity extremes.

Eccofloat® syntactic foam provides superior uplift for given depths and has a proven track record to provide maximum years of reliable service.  The outstanding performance is achieved through the use of carefully selected hollow glass microspheres. The ability to custom manufacture and test this critical component of syntactic foam allows Trelleborg to produce industry leading strength to weight ratio materials.
