Glazing Materials: Section 8810.5
Glazing Gaskets:

Cellular Materials: |
Comply with ASTM C509-06, Option II, Type II
Closed Cell EPDM or Neoprene Sponge; Black; with factory molded corners. |

Dense Materials: |
Comply with ASTM C864-05, Option II EPDM, in a hardness suitable for its intended use. 70 Shore A durometer for Wedge Gaskets, 60 Shore A durometer for Preset Gaskets. Black; with factory molded corners. |

c. |
Dense Materials: (Silicone Option) |
Silicone gaskets are to comply to ASTM C1115-06 Type C in a hardness suitable for its intended use. 70 Shore A durometer for Wedge Gaskets, 60 Shore A durometer for Preset Gaskets. Black; with factory molded corners. |

d. |
All gaskets in continuous contact with structural silicone sealant are to be extruded Silicone or extruded Silicone Compatible EPDM in hardness suitable for its intended use. Prior to commencing a structural glazing project, gasket samples are to be submitted to the silicone sealant manufacturer for approval. |

|
e. |
All corners of all glazing gaskets shall be bed in elastomeric sealant compatible with glazing gaskets. |
|
|
|
|
f. |
Setting Blocks: |
EPDM or Silicone, 85 Shore A durometer; minimum 4” long per glass manufacturers requirements. |

|
|
|
g. |
Edge Blocks: |
EPDM 50 - 60 Shore A durometer; Minimum 4” long; or W- Jamb Block design; as required by the glass manufacturer. |
