Trelleborg has more than 40 research and development units around the world. This is where we carry out research in polymers and various other materials, and where we develop and design high-performance, tailor-made products and solutions.
Our North American manufacturing processes include a variety of cure methods including microwave and convection ovens, high velocity hot air, and liquid cure. This provides us with the right technology to process a wide variety of compounds for a range of applications. In addition to our expertise in rubber extrusion we also extrude a variety of plastic materials for the markets we serve.
Finally, we have the capability to fabricate our customers’ profiles into fully finished components. Spliced rings for pipe gaskets and corner molding in commercial window gaskets are just two examples of our extensive fabrication capabilities.
