Here, she discusses the fast-paced nature of her job, its opportunities for international collaboration, and the key trends shaping the future of B2B marketing.
Who are you?
My name is Saša Praček. I work as a Trelleborg Head of Marketing in Slovenia, at our offices in Kranj – a beautiful city at the foothills of the Alps.
How long have you worked in this position and what are your key duties?
I joined Trelleborg, and took this role, in December 2022, so I've been a member of the team for almost two years. Like most marketers, I have a broad range of responsibilities, with every day bringing fresh challenges and opportunities. My typical duties include overseeing the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, as well as developing go-to-market strategies for new product launches. At other times, you’ll find me crafting clear, persuasive copy for brand and business initiatives or designing marketing collateral to support our sales efforts.
But there’s always more! My role also involves organizing events and coordinating presentations at exhibitions around the world, collaborating with external agencies, and managing internal communications.
What do you like about working with Trelleborg?
More than anything, I appreciate the chance to collaborate with such a wide range of people and departments. Within Trelleborg, my work puts me in close contact with colleagues across sales, human resources, and R&D – and externally, I get to connect with customers and partners from every corner of the globe. Through this constant interaction with different perspectives, cultures, and areas of expertise, I keep learning – and growing – every day.
What are the key challenges you face in your job?
The marketing landscape is always shifting – and things change fast. This adds a certain dynamism to my schedule, to say the least: something new is unfolding whenever I open my laptop! My biggest challenge, then, is successfully juggling tasks from different areas to meet all my deadlines. With proper planning and communication, though, it's possible to keep things on track.
How do you think the business in your area is going to evolve in the future, and how are you preparing for this?
There are several key megatrends impacting the B2B marketing space, including digitalization, personalization, automation, and the integration of AI capabilities. Staying on top of these trends, and embracing the opportunities they present, will be vital for future success – so continuous learning is a top priority for me and everyone in my team. However much the landscape changes in the years to come, we’ll have to ensure that Trelleborg maintains a strong digital presence across all relevant channels.
Meanwhile, I’ll need to keep implementing effective communications around Trelleborg’s sustainability journey, emphasizing our progress while steering clear of greenwashing. Doing so will be crucial to building trust and staying competitive in the market.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy both short and long trips. Staying active is another important part of my routine – and that means plenty of sports. Skiing in the nearby mountains is my all-time favorite, especially when there’s at least 20 cm of fresh powder. At less snowy times of the year, I also love spending my free time biking or hiking in the mountains, where the views are truly breathtaking! Beyond that, I’m passionate about reading, attending all sorts of concerts, catching a good podcast, or spending time in my garden.
Through all these adventures, my family and friends are the best companions!
