What does the TMD say about hose assemblies?

Directive TMD
Dedicated to the French maritime ports, the RPM decree renewed the TMD requirements concerning bunkering operations performed with loading arms or hose assemblies.
Concerning the hoses, the TMD decree is applicable:
- On hose assemblies only. The bulk hoses without end fittings are not covered.
- Regardless of the native country of the vehicle (truck, train, ship…) that is either loading or unloading hazardous fluid in the French territory.
- For hazardous fluids.
Certification by an official assessment body is required. Operators using the hose assembly can be prosecuted if they do not own the relevant certificates.
