Polyester fibers were a particular revolution in clothing manufacturing because of their strength, durability ,and, most notably, comfort.
They are also very cheap to manufacture and are often used to recreate designer clothing styles to sell at a very low cost. Polyester is also a common plastic with a wide range of applications extending beyond the fashion industry.
