Trelleborg to Debut Revolutionary Polymer-Coated Cordura Composite at Techtextil
RUTHERFORDTON, NC – February 1, 2019: Trelleborg’s engineered coated fabrics business unit will be debuting Tactwear™, its new polymer-coated Cordura® composite, at its booth at Techtextil North America 2019 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tactwear™ provides outstanding lightweight resilience for tactical gear applications.
Tactwear™ composite materials are engineered to extend wear, durability and functionality in the most demanding applications, including tactical gear, waterproof bags and backpacks, and premium performance apparel. Berry Compliant, the material has been developed and is manufactured at the Trelleborg Coated Systems facility in Rutherfordton, North Carolina in the US.

Tactwear™ is a lightweight, flexible polymer-coated Condura® composite material suitable for laser cutting. It can be Radio Frequency and Hot Air welded to increase production efficiency, while also providing exceptional quality. Water resistant, it boasts enhanced abrasion resistance, as well as high tear and tensile strength. It is available in multiple color combinations.
This year’s Techtextil North America is the Western Hemisphere's premier event for the ever-growing technical textiles and nonwovens industry. It will be held February 26-29, 2019, at the Raleigh Convention Center, Halls A & B, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Trelleborg will be exhibiting at booth #1501.
