It is important for us that our suppliers share the principles that underpin our
Code of Conduct.
We would therefore appreciate all our suppliers completing our Corporate responsibility self assessment. Thank you in advance for your time and efforts.
The Trelleborg Group takes responsibility for issues relating to the work environment, environmental impact, business ethics and social responsibility in a variety of ways.
Trelleborg is also a participant in the UN Global Compact network, a strategic policy initiative for responsible business practices in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
We actively support the UN Global Compact’s principles, and we encourage our suppliers to align with the same principles. These can be found on
www.unglobalcompact.org.
As a chemical user, Trelleborg is affected by the EU chemical legislation REACH. Activities to adapt the Group’s operations to REACH began in 2009 and will continue in the future. There is a special focus on communication with suppliers and customers regarding REACH-related issues to ensure compliance.
Following the prudence principle, Trelleborg will reduce and replace hazardous substances and materials in products and processes, as far as possible, according to Trelleborg’s revised Environmental Policy from 2009. A black list for materials of hazardous material that shall not be used will be published soon.
