Trelleborg Showcases its Rollers and Sleeve Coverings for Tissue Converters

The Trelleborg Coated Systems roller and belt operation, leading manufacturer and supplier of rollers and sleeve coverings for tissue converters, demonstrates its latest innovative products at MIAC 2014, Lucca, Italy, from October 15 to 17.

Located on stand 46, Trelleborg will exhibit its complete Rollin® offering for embossing, glue and marrying applications.

Among the main products on display at the MIAC, the new Rollin® Resistoplast represents the best combination between resilience and abrasion resistance, delivering an outstanding lifespan. Compared to standard products available on the market, the innovative compound used for this roller improves performance of paper wraps, reducing overheating and aging of rollers.

Guillaume Bordais, Rollers and Belts Sales Manager for Trelleborg Coated Systems says: “We are also introducing the new Rollin® PressPlast Gold, which is the perfect solution for multi-layer marrying applications, allowing a perfect bond between each ply. This new product avoids back side effects, a second embossing that can occur if the area between two rollers is not controlled, and lessens cleaning operations while saving on product thickness.”

Trelleborg will also present a new app, which not only allows users access to information on product features and benefits, but promotes the innovative nip simulator system. Thanks to our extensive knowledge and expertise in roller coverings, we are able to simulate the dynamic behavior of the rubber into the nip, the area between two rolls. Converters can therefore benefit from finding tailor-made rubber coverings, perfectly matching any product specifications in terms of volume and length of the log.
