Trelleborg Reintroduces 4-ply Vulcan Combo to its Offset Printing Blanket Range

Trelleborg’s printing solutions operation has reintroduced the popular 4-ply Vulcan Combo offset blanket. The move is in response to market demands for different levels of rigidity within the Vulcan brand.

Matthias Horn, Regional Sales Director EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) for Trelleborg’s printing solutions, says: “We’re responding to customers’ requests. The 3-ply Vulcan Combo Plus was launched to meet a need from printers for more flexibility, while the more rigid 4-ply version is required by some sectors of the packaging industry.

“We’re happy to inform the market that printers have an even wider choice from Trelleborg and can select a solution that exactly meets their individual requirements. The 4-ply version Vulcan Combo and the 3-ply Vulcan Combo Plus are at the top end of the product range that we offer in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.”

Both blankets are designed for the commercial sheet-fed and packaging sectors, and provide excellent rebound properties and striking absorption as well as good halftone reproduction and overall print quality. The Vulcan Combo and Vulcan Combo Plus offer enhanced smash resistance and increased blanket lifetime. The hybrid blanket solutions are suitable for printing using UV and conventional inks.
