Trelleborg Successfully Completes the French Stop of its RoadShow 2016 at Innov-Agri

On 6, 7 and 8 September, Trelleborg successfully completed the first French stop of its 'Road Show' 2016, at the Innov-Agri Fair in Outarville Loiret. During three exhibition days, numerous demonstrations in the field highlighted the importance of choosing a suitable agricultural tire to increase overall efficiency and the productivity of farming operations through an optimized footprint distribution and tire pressure.
Two Claas AXION 830 CMATIC tractors, each with a tool LEMKEN Kristall 9, faced the clock over a distance of 200 meters. The first tractor was equipped with TM800 tires of standard sizes 650/65R42 and 540/65R30 with a pressure of 1.6 bar, while the second one was fitted with TM1060 tires, VF 710/60R42 and VF 600/60R30, inflated to 1.0 bar pressure. Each tractor was equipped with a transparent cylinder to precisely visualize the fuel consumption level of each of them during the race; a digital application calculates savings. In addition, the footprint area and soil compaction were measured.

On the finish line, an average 10 percent fuel economy and a time saving of around 10 percent were achieved by the tractor equipped with VF TM1060 tires.
With Trelleborg’s ProgressiveTractionTM technology, the new range TM1060 provides improved efficiency of agricultural work thanks to its double edge. The ProgressiveTractionTM tread pattern, exclusive to Trelleborg enhances traction, while it significantly reducing vibration.

Carrying heavy loads at very low pressure, the TM1060 range generates an extra large footprint area, for maximum respect of the soil, more efficiency and better productivity.
The demonstrations showed a footprint area of 18.6 percent higher on the tractor mounted on TM1060 tractor with VF tires.

Trelleborg works closely with leading tractor manufacturers to develop complete solutions, enabling the best combination between tractor and wheels, to maximize investment and accelerate agricultural work.
Kicking off in Germany in June and continuing until late 2016, the roadshow will visit farm shows and special customer events in as many as seven European countries, in China and South Africa to showcase the latest generation of Trelleborg tires and complete wheels.
