Trelleborg Showcases Technology at Field Days in Germany and Switzerland

Trelleborg showcases its portfolio of high-quality tires and complete wheel solutions during numerous events focused on agricultural technology through August until December 2014.

One of the highlights is the bi-annual FENDT-SAATEN UNION Field Day held in Wadenbrunn, Germany on August 27. During the event, among other machines, Fendt’s new workhorse machine was presented. Just like during the launch event at Schloss Neuschwanstein, the new Fendt 1000 Vario - the German “Meisterwerk” - was equipped in the field with specially designed Trelleborg TM1000 High Power tires in the size IF900/65R46. The BlueTireTM tread design has been engineered to maximize the tread width and ensure the widest footprint on the market, providing optimum pressure distribution and the utmost respect for the soil.

Rolf Christmann, Managing Director Germany, Austria & Switzerland at the Trelleborg agricultural and forestry tires operation, says: “We have a strong partnership with Fendt and work together on everything from product development, through to marketing initiatives.

“The awarding of the prestigious AGCO EAME ’Supplier of the Year‘ in 2012 and the AGCO North America 2013 ‘Supplier of the Year’ to Trelleborg demonstrates our importance as a premium tire manufacturer for the AGCO Group. It is also testament to Trelleborg’s commitment to continually strengthen its comprehensive range of high performance solutions.

“At the field day in Wadenbrunn, Trelleborg featured numerous innovative products. We are the only manufacturer to present two tire options in the 2.3 meter on 46 inch segment for the new 1000 FENDT Vario, the IF 750/75R46TL 180D and the IF 900/65R46TL 190D TM1000 High Power. In addition, other high power tractors can be equipped with Trelleborg IF technology.”

Trelleborg also presented the 710/75R42TL 175D(172E) TM900 High Power in Wadenbrunn, the Twin Radial implement tire in the size 750/60R30.5TL 181D as well as one of the most popular sized rear tires, the 650/65R38TL 157D TM800 along with Trelleborg’s TM2000 900/60R32TL 181A8 for harvesting machines fitted on the Fendt Katana.

This year the one-day field event was attended by more than 60.000 visitors coming from 31 different countries, including farming professional as well as journalists and Fendt top management.

Following the Wadenbrunn field day Trelleborg will meet farming professionals to show its premium product range at the Rottalschau, MeLa, NorLa, DeLuTa in Germany and the Swiss AGRAMA as well as in many other local shows and exhibitions.
