Trelleborg’s seals & profiles operation is renaming its Forsheda-branded products within its portfolio. The decision is part of the ongoing evolution of the operation’s product portfolio, following a series of successful acquisitions and expansions during recent years.
Tim van Putten, Sales Director of Trelleborg Pipe Seals in EMEA, says: “Offering a more cohesive range of seals is part of Trelleborg’s strategy to cater to the market needs for pipe and manhole seals. This will facilitate further development in the future. Trelleborg’s pipe seals customers can rest assured that the proprietary design, quality compounds and proven durability of Forsheda-branded seals will remain the same as ever. For most of them, it will be business as usual.”
Trelleborg acquired Forsheda in 2003. In 2014, Trelleborg entered into a joint venture with Max Seal, Mexico. In January of this year, the outstanding shares of Max Seal were bought, resulting in full ownership. This brings the proprietary range of Anger-Lock, Power-Lock, Sewer-Lock, and Din-Lock, custom-made double wall corrugated (DWC) pipe seals and Trelleborg’s recently developed 165 integrated concrete pipe and manhole seal all under one roof.
