Meet “SuperSealer” Lena Sundlöf

Meet “SuperSealer” Lena Sundlöf

Whether it’s taking part in events with her dog or cutting through the online noise to promote our brand, our January SuperSealer loves to compete. She explains how Trelleborg’s supportive environment and welcoming atmosphere help create a special place to work.

Lena Sundlöf - Trelleborg Seals & ProfilesWho are you?

My name is Lena Sundlöf, and I am Marketing Communications Manager at Trelleborg Seals & Profiles.

How long have you worked in this position and what are your key duties?

I have worked in this role for a couple of months now. Essentially, my role involves finding the best way to communicate the activities and vision of our Seals & Profiles operation and to promote our brand to our key audience. There is increasing demand for people’s attention, so my job is to find ways to cut through the noise.

How long have you been with Trelleborg and what do you like about working here?

I started working at Trelleborg in January 2006, and I immediately liked the welcoming atmosphere. You can just reach out and there are people ready to help out. I also like the open attitude and the opportunity to take on responsibility and interact with colleagues from all over the world.

I’ve worked with other international companies in the past, but from day one it was clear that Trelleborg was different.

What are the key challenges you face in your job?

My own impatience: I tend to want to achieve everything right away! I think of challenges more as opportunities to unite people, create understanding, simplify the work to be done, and find new ways of communicating.

How do you think the business in your area is going to evolve in the future? How are you preparing for this?

I’m excited to be part of an organization that encourages development in all fields. We know the business environment is constantly changing: our work and private lives are increasingly digitalized, and we are relying on technology more and more in our daily pursuits.

What do you do in your free time?

I love spending time with my dog. I’m very single-minded and competitive, and much of our free time is spent training and taking part in competitions together. I even hold obedience classes for other dog owners and educate trainers. I also try to leave space for mountain hiking when I can.
