Grout Packer

Once an offshore oil and gas jacket or HVDC jacket substructure is constructed, it will be transported to the offshore installation site where it will be upended and descended onto the seabed. In order to ensure that the jacket is securely fixed to the seabed, a pile is driven through the jacket leg or the skirt sleeves. The annulus between the pile and the jacket leg or skirt sleeves will be sealed by inflatable grout packers. When fully inflated by a gas or liquid, it seals the annular gap to ensure that no leakage can occur during grouting. The grout will provide a reliable bond to keep the jacket secured and stable. The inflatable grout packers are a critical application to the offshore platform.

Trelleborg’s jacket leg can system is designed to encompass the sealing needs during the installation of an oil and gas or HVDC jacket substructure.

Our Grout Packer (GP) is made from reinforced rubber and are subjected to strict quality control in pressure testing and weld inspection. GPs can be supplied in different sizes to meet individual project requirements. Our meticulous manufacturing process and design ensure perfect sealing and proper slurry grout solidification. GPs can also be supplied with our Grout Seal (GS) which helps to keep the grouting process free from contaminants and thereby reinforces the integrity of the substructure.
