Vikotherm® G3 (Glass Syntactic Polyurethane)

Vikotherm® G3 (Glass Syntactic Polyurethane)

Vikotherm® G3 is a non-mercury catalyzed glass syntactic polyurethane insulation system. It can be applied across all geographical deep water oil and gas locations and its geometrical structure means it is qualified to meet a full range of application specifications.

Operating temperature

Operating temperature range from -40°C to +60°C / -40°F to +140°F

Tensile strength

Tensile strength of 12 mPa and an elongation greater than 50%. Tensile properties maintained at joints.

Low density

Inclusion of glass microspheres results in a reduced density material (884 kg/m³).

Low thermal conductivity

Thermal conductivity pf 0.165w/m.k achieved using a syntactic polyurethane.

Key Applications

Insulation covers or dog houses

Jumpers and spool pieces

Subsea structures, Manifolds and Subsea trees, PLETs and  PLEMs

Risers and flowlines
