Trelleborg Displays Range of Seismic Solutions at EAGE 2015

June 1-4
Madrid, Spain
Stand No.: 871

As a world leader in cable management and protection solutions, Trelleborg’s offshore operation will display its comprehensive range of seismic towing, handling and cable management solutions, at the 77th European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) Conference and Exhibition in Madrid, Spain.

While attending the show, visitors will have a chance to get a firsthand look at Trelleborg’s portfolio of specialized material and cable protection solutions used in a number of challenging applications that often require high levels of resistance, durability and flexibility.

Billy Ram, Seismic Sales Manager for Trelleborg Offshore located in Coventry, England commented: “Trelleborg excels in the design and development of superior polymer engineered solutions for the harsh and demanding environments of international seismic and oil and gas markets. It is imperative that we continue to develop our solutions to ensure that they meet the needs of our customers and increasingly demanding environments.

“Exhibiting at conferences such as EAGE provides us with the ideal environment to interact with our customers in an informal setting where we can listen to their needs and concerns, ensuring our solutions truly align with their requirements. So while safe handling and deployment of cables and survey spreads is the driving force behind our solutions, our core focus is to ensure customer performance at every level.”

Trelleborg’s seismic cable handling solutions ensure the safe management and deployment of cables. The split bend stiffener is fully split to allow bolt on installation for seismic cables. It was specifically developed to cater to installation after a termination has taken place and it ensures improved resistance to general wear and tear in offshore operations.

In addition to the split bend stiffener, attendees will also be able to view a cumberland grip which is a key element in the management of cables. It is generally used on seismic survey towed cable as an integrated friction grip clamp and bend stiffener to help control the cable curvature.

The EAGE Conference and Exhibition is the largest and most comprehensive geoscience event in the world. The five day program includes the latest developments in geophysics, geology and reservoir/petroleum engineering.
