"No negotiations with Continental"
Trelleborg's has an annual average growth target of 15-20 percent. A
major portion of this has been and will continue to be achieved through
acquisitions. This means that Trelleborg is in continuous contact with,
and monitors in different ways, a number of companies that could fit
into the Trelleborg structure.
For primarily business reasons, Trelleborg's policy is to not comment on
individual acquisition candidates during any ongoing exploratory stages
However, since there has been speculation in the media that Trelleborg
could be negotiating with the German company Continental, the company
finds it necessary to confirm that no negotiations are currently being
conducted between the companies.
Furthermore, Trelleborg has no comments to make about the company's
business negotiations with other companies.
Other inquiries should be addressed to Trelleborg´s Corporate
Communications Department, telephone: +46 410 670 00.
