Overview
Rope storage reel allows operators to deploy dedicated mooring lines without having to rely on those from the vessel being moored; this process allows the operator to monitor the quality of the mooring lines and avoid safety concerns.
Rope storage reels may be installed at the Jetty to store and deploy additional lines required to augment a standard mooring system, or simply store all the mooring lines.
When each line is needed, it is deployed off the reeler drum, one end being secured on board the vessel and the other end taken to a nearby quick release hook.
