Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation will showcase a number of its docking & mooring and navigation & piloting solutions alongside its Netherlands-designed infrastructure solutions at Europort, held at Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands from 2 - 5 November 2021.

Representatives from Trelleborg will be on hand to showcase AutoMoor, a rope-free, automated mooring system which is designed to make berthing operations smarter, safer, and more sustainable. AutoMoor units eliminate mooring lines and are specifically designed to improve operational efficiency and enhance safety levels. Combining new vacuum pad and passive damping technology to rapidly attach and secure a vessel at berth, the units are suitable for a range of environmental and berthing conditions.

Trelleborg’s stand will also showcase its portfolio of SafePilot solutions including various portable navigation systems that provide ports with important, real-time navigation information that gives pilots greater control, safety and accuracy during port approach and maneuvers. One of the solutions available on hand is the CAT MAX, a dual antenna solution consisting of heading and positioning units. The system is completely independent and does not rely on the ship's instrumentation. The CAT MAX units communicate with each other and the pilot's display via Wi-Fi, ensuring a stable and long-range connection.

Trelleborg will also have available several products that have been used by all major dredging companies across the globe, such as hoses, nozzles and bottom door seals. Another product is the Gina gasket seal, used between the sectional elements of immersed tunnels to prevent water ingress due to external water pressure. This combination of high-water pressure seals not only allows for sealing but also for the transfer of the hydrostatic loads and movements between the tunnel ends due to soil settlement, creep of concrete, temperature effects and if required, earthquakes.

At stand 7200 you can also find Orkot and Spherical Bearing materials. These products made from Orkot® composite materials have exceptional wear resistance and virtually no swell in water, providing dimensional stability. They offer tolerance to edge loading and mis-alignment even with the heaviest loads, and are particularly suited to freeze fitting without the danger of shattering. Orkot® TXMM material has been tested by Powertech Labs and is approved by the US Army Corps of Engineers for use in Hydro applications.

Trelleborg’s suite of SmartPort products and solutions, which includes fenders, mooring equipment, ship performance monitoring, and navigation systems equipped with sensors and underpinned by by cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. SmartPort by Trelleborg, which powers the critical interface between ship and port, on land and at sea, connects port operations allowing operators to analyze performance and use data to improve decision making.
