Alandia Maritime Day

Alandia Maritime Day

Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure will be present at Maritime Day in Åland on Thursday, 12 May. The one-day event will take place at Alandica Kultur & Kongress in Mariehamn and it offers excellent opportunities to meet people in the business as well as to attend lectures and seminars on current topics in shipping.

Representatives from Trelleborg will be on hand to showcase AutoMoor, a rope-free, automated mooring system which is designed to make berthing operations smarter, safer, and more sustainable. AutoMoor units eliminate mooring lines and are specifically designed to improve operational efficiency and enhance safety levels. Combining a new vacuum pad and passive damping technology to rapidly attach and secure a vessel at berth, the units are suitable for a range of environmental and berthing conditions.

Trelleborg’s stand will also showcase its portfolio of SafePilot solutions including various portable navigation systems that provide ports with important, real-time navigation information that gives pilots greater control, safety and accuracy during port approach and maneuvers. One of the solutions on display will be the latest SafePilot solution, CAT PRO, a completely independent Portable Pilot Unit (PPU) designed to overcome the limitations of AIS and Wi-Fi range. Trelleborg’s new SafePilot solution, CAT PRO, has been specifically designed for use in demanding applications that require the highest positioning and speed accuracy such as piloting in narrow channels and confined waters.

Åland Maritime Day has been organized since 2001 and includes an exhibition for ship owners, suppliers, maritime schools and other maritime organizations, seminars covering industry and political topics, networking possibilities during coffee breaks, lunch, cocktails and dinner.
