20th Annual Shippax Ferry Conference

Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure will showcase its innovative line of automated mooring solutions at the 2023 SHIPPAX Ferry Conference. The 20th annual onboard ferry conference will be held aboard Grimaldi Lines' CRUISE BARCELONA, sailing between Barcelona-Civitavecchia-Barcelona, 24-26 April 2023. The two-day onboard ferry conference was first organized in 2003 and has grown in popularity ever since.

Every year, about 450-500 delegates and 50-60 ferry operators from all over the world attend the conference, which includes captivating debates on safe and efficient ferry operations by industry leaders.

Mike Howie, Regional Sales Manager & Müge Alim, Marketing Executive, will be on hand at the conference to discuss AutoMoor, a rope-free, automated mooring system designed to make berthing operations smarter, safer, and more sustainable. AutoMoor units eliminate mooring lines, thereby improving operational efficiency and safety. The units feature new vacuum pads and passive damping technology that enable it to quickly attach and secure vessels at berth, making them suitable for use in various environments.

Mike Howie will present an overview of automated mooring on the second day of the conference, which will cover the health, safety, financial, and energy efficiency advantages it offers.
