Trelleborg’s marine systems operation will showcase its SeaTechnikTM Universal Safety Link (USL) and the Integrated Ship-Shore Link (SSL) and Emergency Shut-Down system (ESDS) for the LNG Industry at SMM 2016 International. The event will be held from September 6 to 9 at Hamburg Messe, Hamburg, Germany.
The USL 8810 is specifically designed to support the growing LNG marine fuel and small scale LNG market, while the innovative design of the Integrated SSL and ESDS provide significant installation cost reduction for ship builders. Both the Integrated SSL and ESDS also provide improved operator feedback and maintenance diagnostics for owners of large scale LNG carriers. Trelleborg has also designed an ESDS system to support the USL 8810 for small scale operations.
Richard Hepworth, President of Trelleborg’s marine systems operation, says: “LNG operations require the safe, efficient and timely transfer of LNG from one tank to another. Trelleborg currently has SSL systems on 450 LNG carriers, 25 FSRUs, 100 LNG terminals and over 30 USL systems in the growing LNG marine fuel and small scale market. All supported by a global service team on a 24/7 basis.
The entire range of Trelleborg SeaTechnikTM products is also backed up by a global service team, ready to support customer operations 24/7. This unrivalled aftersales care means global support with local reach and knowledge.
With over 2,100 exhibitors from 67 countries and 50,000 visitors from 108 nations, SMM gathers representatives across the global shipbuilding and marine equipment industries every two years to discuss the latest innovative technologies in the maritime industry.
